Digit Cake Moulds, yıl dönümleri ve özellikle doğum günleri
gibi önemli gün kutlamalarında, pasta ve yıl arasındaki
ilişkiden ilham alıyor. Tasarımda yılı temsil eden rakam,
muma gerek kalmadan, doğrudan pastanın kendisiyle ifade
ediliyor. 1 dijital rakamı meydana getiren 7 modülden oluşan
kek kalıbı sayesinde, kullanıcı modüllerle istediği rakamı
yazabiliyor. Pasta şeklini yeniden yorumlayan bu tasarım,
sunum sırasında anlam kazanıyor. Pasta, hem şekliyle
kutlanan yıl sayısını ifade ediyor, hem de kesmeye gerek
kalmadan baştan 7 porsiyona bölünmüş oluyor. Bir pakette
bulunan modüllerle bir rakam yazılabilmesi sebebiyle,
birden fazla basamaklı rakamlar için basamak sayısı kadar
kutu almak gerekli oluyor. Digit Cake Moulds, 2010 yılından
bu yana uluslararası mağazalarda ve müze dükkanlarında
satılıyor.

To celebrate important dates, anniversaries and birthdays,
cakes and candles are a classic, and the design of Digit Cake
Moulds has been inspired by the relationship between the
celebration cake and the idea of years. The number of years
is represented by the shape of the cake itself, therefore the
design communicates a number directly without the need for
candles. The set is comprised of seven moulds that enable
the user to create any one-digit number desired. This design
brings a new interpretation to the form of the celebration
cake and takes on meaning on its presentation. The shape
of the cake both represents a number, and divides the cake
into seven portions for easy serving. Each box of cake moulds
contains enough moulds to form any one-digit number. For
more digits, additional boxes may be purchased. The Digit
Cake Moulds have been on the international market since
2010, and are sold in design stores and museum shops.
