in this Territory, and shall cause a competent number to<br />
be printed, and delivered to the pilots, to be disposed of<br />
in the manner directed by one article which treats of<br />
their duty.<br />
4. Be it further enacted. That, the boards of health in<br />
Pensacola and St. Augustine, shall continue as at present<br />
to consist of the resident physician, and the mayor and<br />
aldermen of the two cities until the first day of January Januar>"<br />
one thousand eight hundred and twenty three, at which<br />
time this act shall go into effect.<br />

1. Be it enacted, by the Governor and Legislative What contracts to<br />
Council of the Territory of Florida, That, no action shall be in writing.<br />

damages out of his own estate, or whereby to charge the<br />

of lands, tenements, or hereditaments, or the making any<br />
lease thereof for a longer term than one year, or upon any<br />
agreement which is not to be performed in the space of<br />
one year from the making thereof, unless the promise or<br />
agreement upon which such action shall be brought, or<br />
some memorandum or note thereof shall be in writing, and<br />
signed by the party to be charged therewith, or some<br />
other person by him thereunto lawfully authorized.<br />

or of any rent, common or profit out of the same, 'fyaud creditors<br />
by writing or otherwise, and every bond, suit, judgment<br />
