sons shall steal trom any other person or persons witnin and punishment<br />
this (erritory, any horse, mare, gelding, mule or ass, he,<br />
she or they so offending, shall on conviction thereof, by<br />
due course of law, be deemed guilty of felony, and be fined<br />
not exceeding rive hundred dollars, receive not exceeding<br />
two hundred striMfs,.on his or her bare back, well laid<br />
on, pay double damages to the party injured, and stand<br />
committed till sentence is complied with, and shall also oe<br />
disqualifi d from voting at any election, or of giving evidence<br />
in any court of justice, or of holding any office of<br />
profit, honor, or trust in this Territory.<br />

contract of .any nututv or kind, or shall deface or false-<br />
ly, any enrolment, register or record, or matter or instrument<br />
recorded, or shall counterfeit the seal or hand writing<br />
of another, with intent to defraud, every person so<br />
offending upon conviction thereof shall be fined in double<br />
t:.e sum he shall thereby have defrauded or attempted to<br />
d« fraud another, and imprisoned not exceeding five y» ars,<br />
and shad moreover be incapable of holding any office of<br />
trust or l^H^t in the Territory.<br />
And alfpersons wilfully aiding or. assisting in these Accessories,<br />
crimes, o^ who shall cause or procure the same, or any of<br />
them to be perpetrated, shall be deemed principals*. And<br />
anyperson or persons who shall fraudulently forge, deface,<br />
corrupt, or counterfeit the seal oi this Territory, or the<br />
seal or signature of any dfficer within the -^me, rvery<br />
person so offending upon conviction, shall be fined not<br />
exceeding fivjkthousand dollars, and imprisoned not exceeding<br />
