Taking proof of debts to be sent abroad, proof and ack-<br />
i.l' ie iters of attorney, for receiving and<br />
transferring puoliv securities, each, .seventy five cents.<br />
Constables snail receive for their services the following<br />
fees.<br />
For taking a replevin,;qe forthcoming bond, fifty cents.<br />
Levying an execution,, fifty cents.<br />
Ami a commission of six per cent, on all sums above<br />
three dollars, which may be contained in the said> execu-<br />
tion.<br />
Serving a warrant for debt, fifty cents.<br />
Summoning witnesses in any case, each, twenty five<br />
cents.<br />
Serving a peace or search warrant, one dollar.<br />
Levying an attachment, fifty cents<br />
Summoning a garnishee, twenty five cents.<br />
Carrying a criminal to jail, each mile in going and returning,<br />
ten cents.<br />
Taking up a vagrant, fifty cents.<br />
Apprehending a person, on a charge of felony, two dol-<br />
lars.<br />
No constable shall be entitled to more than half commissions<br />
on any execution where the property is replevied<br />
or delivery bond is given and not complied with at the<br />
day of sale : but shall be entitled to the commission heretofore<br />
allowed by law, in the cases where the money is<br />
collected<br />
For collecting fee bills, six per cent.<br />
Whipping a slave by order,of a justice, where stripes<br />
are the only punishment, to be paid out of the treasury,<br />
one dollar.<br />
Summoning a jury in a civil case, seventy five cents.<br />
Serving a notice, twe»ty five cents.<br />
Coroners shall receive for their services the following<br />

For taking an inquisition on a dead body, to be paid out<br />
of the estate of the deceased, if the same<br />
