Command Line Interface
For example, you can use the si co command to check out a file, attaching
-g or --gui to the end of the command to view the Check Out dialog box.
You can then select check out options.
This allows you to use the Check Out dialog box without having to launch
the graphical user interface.
For more information on using the graphical user interface with the
command line interface, see the Source Integrity Enterprise Edition CLI
Reference Guide and the online man pages.
You can use some Source Integrity commands without specifying any
options, for example, si connect. Entering only the command prompts
you to add additional information that you would normally add in the
form of command options. This is useful for commands, such as si
connect, because the prompts may contain default information, for
example, your default Integrity Server and port number. This information,
if it exists, is in your IntegrityClient.rc or
IntegrityClientSite.rc file.
For project and sandbox commands, member refers to members of an
Integrity Server project. If the member argument is omitted for project or
sandbox commands, the command is applied to all of the members of the
project or sandbox. The member element must be the last entry of a
command statement.
There are three ways to apply a command to multiple members:
Type Multiple Member Names
You can enter two or more member names, separated by spaces, as the
member component. For example, the command:
si co -S project.pj prog.c brochur.toc brochur.idx
checks out all three members. You can name as many members as you
like on the command line (subject to the line length limitations of your
operating system).
NOTE
Source Integrity commands do not span command shell line lengths.
