Logging In to Source Integrity

Source Integrity uses client/server architecture to protect and manage
your files. Project files reside on the server and are accessed by requests
from the client application on your workstation.
Problems and error messages on the Source Integrity client are logged to
/bin/IntegrityClient.log.
For both the graphical user interface and the command line interface, you
must establish a connection with the Integrity Server before you can
perform any Source Integrity operations on projects or sandboxes.
IMPORTANT
Ensure that the Integrity Server you are connecting to is the same version as
your Source Integrity client. Attempting to connect with an incompatible client
(for example, from an earlier version of Source Integrity or Vertical Sky
Software Manager) results in error messages and unpredictable behavior. To
determine the version of your Source Integrity client, select Help > About. The
client version is displayed on the dialog box. To determine the version of the
Integrity Server, contact your administrator, or in the command line interface,
use the si servers --showversion command.
All Source Integrity commands automatically prompt you for information
and will connect you to the appropriate server if you are not already
connected. If your system is appropriately configured, there may be
nothing for you to specify. Additionally, if you are using a Win32 system
connecting to an NT server with single signon enabled, you are
automatically authenticated as the current user on your local system.
NOTE
All or some of the login dialog boxes may appear, depending on the
configuration set up by your administrator.
To log in using the graphical user interface
1 Do one of the following:
Select File > Server Connection > Connect.
Click .
The Specify Server Connection dialog box is displayed.
