Demoting a
Project

2 Do one of the following:
Select History > Promote.
Click .
The Promote Project dialog box is displayed.
TIP
In the Source Integrity Web interface, you can also promote a project from the
Project view by selecting Project > Promote.
3 Select a new state from the Promote to State list, for example, Beta.
4 To accept the new state, click OK.
The project is promoted.
As with a project member, you can demote the project itself (or change its
state). Typically, you demote a project (or set its state) when you
checkpoint it, but you can do so at any time.
NOTE
When you demote a project, only the project file (.pj) is affected. Individual
members of the project are not changed.
To demote a project in the graphical user interface and Web interface
1 With a Project History view open, select the revision you want to
demote.
2 Do one of the following:
Select History > Demote.
Click .
The Demote Project dialog box is displayed.
