Deferring Member Operations<br />

3 Under Options, click to select the options for each item being<br />

submitted:<br />

Use the change package provided when the element was deferred<br />

selects the change package that was originally associated with the<br />

deferred item.<br />

Override the change package to a specified value provides the<br />

means to select (or create) a different change package from the<br />

one that was originally associated with the deferred item.<br />

Close Change Package causes Source Integrity to close the change<br />

package after submitting the item and <strong>com</strong>pleting the associated<br />

deferred operation.<br />

4 To <strong>com</strong>plete the submission, click OK.<br />

Source Integrity submits the item and <strong>com</strong>pletes the deferred<br />

operation.<br />

Once you have deferred an operation, you must use the Member > Revert<br />

<strong>com</strong>mand to cancel the defer operation. For more information on the revert<br />

<strong>com</strong>mand, see “Discarding Changes to a Member” on page 196.<br />

When you revert a deferred add operation, Source Integrity retains the<br />

working file for the deferred member.<br />

After the revert operation, the file be<strong>com</strong>es a non-member, rather than a<br />

former member, because it was never added to the project.<br />

When you resynchronize a member associated with a deferred operation,<br />

Source Integrity performs the following:<br />

Source Integrity does not make any changes to the working file.<br />
