The project attributes are displayed view-only. 3 To close the Sandbox Information dialog box, click OK. Working from your sandbox, you can view and edit sandbox attribute information through the graphical user interface. These are sandbox attributes that apply to your workspace. Taking Sandbox Snapshots 3 In the Variable field, enter a variable, for example, OS. NOTE The variable name cannot include the “=” character. 4 In the Value field, enter a value, for example, Win32. Controlling Sandboxes 5 To add the attribute, click Add. To remove attributes, select them, then click Remove. The attributes appear in the attributes list. 6 To accept any changes you have made, click OK. The sandbox information is saved. A snapshot is a capture of the current state of a sandbox, where each element in the sandbox can be identified with a pre-existing entity in the repository on the Integrity Server. The sandbox snapshot creates a standard project revision from which a build sandbox can be created and a development path assigned. The project revision number takes the form of a branched revision in the project history. For example, if the head revision of the project is 1.1, then the project revision created by the snapshot will be 1.1.1.1. The set of sandbox elements includes the following: sandbox members identified with an archive and working revisions from which the archive was created former members that were dropped but are still present in your sandbox subsandboxes, identified by project name and type former subsandboxes that were dropped but are still present in your sandbox Note the following about sandbox snapshots: To be included in the snapshot, there must be no working file changes in the sandbox. If the working file revision differs from the member revision, it is the working file revision that is included in the snapshot. Members with no working files are not included in the snapshot. Former members that still have working files in the sandbox directory appear as members in the snapshot. 283
