With Source Integrity you can <strong>com</strong>pare:<br />

any two text-based revisions in a history<br />

a text-based revision and its associated working file in a sandbox<br />

any two text files<br />

The <strong>com</strong>mands discussed in this section for the graphical user interface use<br />

MKS Visual Difference, a standalone application that <strong>com</strong>pares and<br />

merges members and revisions.<br />

MKS Visual Difference calculates the differences between working files or<br />

revisions and displays them side by side in their own panes, along with a<br />

summary of the differences between the files. Using MKS Visual<br />

Difference, you can also interactively merge two members or revisions. For<br />

information on merging in MKS Visual Difference, see “Merging Two<br />

Revisions” on page 356.<br />

In the Web interface, the Differences window displays the revisions sideby-side<br />

in the same pane. For more information on the MKS Visual<br />

Difference interface, see “MKS Visual Difference Interface” on page 100.<br />

Source Integrity allows you to use a third party differencing tool, in the<br />

graphical user interface, if you do not want to use MKS Visual Difference.<br />

You can specify a third party difference tool in your preferences. For<br />

information on setting up third party differencing tools, see “Difference<br />

Tool Preferences” on page 69.<br />

To <strong>com</strong>pare two revisions in the graphical user interface<br />

1 With a Member History view open, select two revisions to <strong>com</strong>pare, or<br />

a revision and the working file.<br />

To select two revisions in the graphical user interface, select the first<br />

revision, then hold down CTRL and click the second revision.<br />

2 Do one of the following:<br />

Select History > Differences.<br />

Click .<br />

NOTE<br />

In the Source Integrity Web interface, application functionality is not available<br />

through the shortcut menu.<br />

The MKS Visual Difference window is displayed.<br />
