With Source Integrity you can compare:
any two text-based revisions in a history
a text-based revision and its associated working file in a sandbox
any two text files
The commands discussed in this section for the graphical user interface use
MKS Visual Difference, a standalone application that compares and
merges members and revisions.
MKS Visual Difference calculates the differences between working files or
revisions and displays them side by side in their own panes, along with a
summary of the differences between the files. Using MKS Visual
Difference, you can also interactively merge two members or revisions. For
information on merging in MKS Visual Difference, see “Merging Two
Revisions” on page 356.
In the Web interface, the Differences window displays the revisions sideby-side
in the same pane. For more information on the MKS Visual
Difference interface, see “MKS Visual Difference Interface” on page 100.
Source Integrity allows you to use a third party differencing tool, in the
graphical user interface, if you do not want to use MKS Visual Difference.
You can specify a third party difference tool in your preferences. For
information on setting up third party differencing tools, see “Difference
Tool Preferences” on page 69.
To compare two revisions in the graphical user interface
1 With a Member History view open, select two revisions to compare, or
a revision and the working file.
To select two revisions in the graphical user interface, select the first
revision, then hold down CTRL and click the second revision.
2 Do one of the following:
Select History > Differences.
Click .
NOTE
In the Source Integrity Web interface, application functionality is not available
through the shortcut menu.
The MKS Visual Difference window is displayed.
