Change Package Review Process<br />

The open state is the only state you can add new entries to a change<br />

package. As part of the review workflow, change packages in the following<br />

states can be opened: CommitFailed, Rejected, and Discarded.<br />

CAUTION<br />

Only a Change Package Administrator can open a change package in the<br />

Closed state. Modifying closed change package contents can <strong>com</strong>promise the<br />

integrity of the server repository.<br />

To open a change package in the graphical user interface and<br />

Web interface<br />

1 Do one of the following:<br />

From the graphical user interface, do one of the following:<br />

From the Manage Change Packages view, select the change<br />

packages to be opened.<br />

Display the change package in the Change Package view<br />

Select Change Package > Open or click .<br />

From the Web interface, with a Project or Member History view<br />

open, click the change package ID. The Change Package View is<br />

displayed.<br />

Select Actions > Open Change Package or click .<br />

The change package is opened.<br />

E-mail notifications are sent out to change package reviewers, watchers,<br />

and the creator at points throughout the change package review process.<br />

For specific information on when each e-mail notification is sent, see the<br />

individual procedures; or for an overview, see “CP Review Workflow” on<br />

page 242.<br />

Each e-mail notification contains a description of the action that prompted<br />

the notification, change package information containing the details and<br />

entries, and Review information containing reviewer and voting<br />

information. Some aspects of e-mail notification may be configured<br />

specifically for your review implementation, including no e-mail<br />

notification. Contact your administrator for more information.<br />
