If you want to create a variant or build sandbox, you must first checkpoint
the project.
To checkpoint a project in the graphical user interface and Web
interface
1 With a Project or Sandbox view open, select the project or sandbox.
2 From a Project view, do one of the following:
Select Project > Checkpoint Project.
Click .
From a Sandbox view, do one of the following:
Select Sandbox > Checkpoint Project.
Click .
The Checkpoint dialog box is displayed.
3 Click an option tab, if necessary, then modify the checkpoint options.
The General tab specifies general checkpoint options:
Label is a unique text string assigned by you to identify a new
project revision, for example, Beta. Labels cannot contain colons
(:), square brackets ([ ]), or leading spaces. Additionally they
cannot have the same format as a valid revision number. To add
labels to a project from a Project or Sandbox view, see “Adding
Labels to Members” on page 297.
