If reviews are mandatory, you cannot close a change package. It must<br />

follow the review process and be closed by the Integrity Server. For more<br />

information, see “Change Package Review Process” on page 240.<br />

To close a change package in the graphical user interface<br />

1 Do one of the following:<br />

With the Manage Change Packages window open (see<br />

“Managing Change Packages” on page 220), select the change<br />

package you want to close.<br />

From a Sandbox view, select the member whose associated<br />

change package you want to close.<br />

In a Change Package view, display the change package you want<br />

to close (see “Viewing Change Package Details and Entries” on<br />

page 226).<br />

2 Do one of the following:<br />

Select Change Package > Close.<br />

Click .<br />

The Confirm Close Change Package dialog box is displayed.<br />

3 To close the change package, click OK.<br />

The change package is closed.<br />

To close a change package when performing an operation in the<br />

graphical user interface<br />

You can close a change package when performing member operations (see<br />

“Operations That Add Entries to a Change Package” on page 215).<br />

To close the change package when performing a member operation: on the<br />

dialog box, enable the Close Change Package option.<br />

After the operation is <strong>com</strong>pleted, the change package is closed.<br />

Source Integrity provides a way to remove change packages from active<br />

use when they are not needed by discarding them.<br />

Change packages can only be discarded if they are in the Open or<br />

Rejected states. In order to discard a change package, that change<br />

package must be both created by you and not contain any <strong>com</strong>mitted<br />

entries. However, a change package administrator may discard a change<br />

package created by another user.<br />
