Thallus defined, orbicular and stellated, the scales adherent,
indistinct, pulverulent, foliaeeou* in the circumference. Apothecia
(patellulai) usually in the centre of the thallus. bordered,
the border of the same colour as the disk.—Named from tt'/.u^
