dark vinous-red, with an imperfect or obsolete midrib, alter*
oately toothed at the margin. Fructification marginal or axillary
or in tin' teeth : — 1. Capsules, containing pear-shaped seeds
fixed by their base: — 2 -1 ader processes, containing ternate
