almost all the provisions present in the erstwhile Employment Assurance
Scheme, but some more provisions have also been incorporated in it.
However, keeping in view the findings of the present study, it can be concluded
that only a more stringent implementation of the Employment
Guarantee Act, and that too in a scientific manner, will help the downtrodden
to get employment when it is needed most and thus come out
from the clutches of poverty. This would ultimately be helpful in improving
the living standards of the tribals, along with the prospects for
economic development of the district as a whole.
