It is extremely difficult to make generalisations regarding the position of<br />

women in Arunachal Pradesh and the changes in this, primarily because<br />

of two reasons: first, given the extraordinary diversity in the socio-economic<br />

conditions, institutional arrangements and cultural ethos of the women
