Fur usually hispid, especially on lower flanks. Tail<br />

bicoloured, white on ventral surface.<br />

Species Ecology<br />

<strong>The</strong> Brown Spiny Mouse occurs in a broad range<br />

<strong>of</strong> habitats including tropical and subtropical dry<br />

deciduous scrub forests, sandy, gravel-rocky habitat,<br />

grasslands, agricultural fields, and thorn scrub<br />

desert.<br />

Little is known about the reproductive parameters<br />

<strong>of</strong> the species.<br />
