Species Description<br />

Small, rich russet-brown with buff underparts, fur<br />

lightly speckled which continues across the throat<br />

like a collar. In winter colour fades to buff-brown.<br />

Species Ecology<br />

<strong>The</strong> Moupin Pika occurs in bamboo, rhododhendron<br />

and subalpine forests at elevations <strong>of</strong> 1,500 m and<br />

4,100 m.<br />

Global: Least Concern<br />

<strong>National</strong>: Data Deficient<br />

Rationale for assessment: <strong>The</strong>re is insufficient<br />
