6.5.2 Testing in Simultaneous Mode
By default, when you first enter the Directional Difference test screen, you are
in Simultaneous Mode. In Simultaneous Mode, all five difference curves are
taken in one test sequence. A single zero degree “forward” measurement is
used when calculating all five difference curves taken with potentially different
reverse angles.
To test in Simultaneous Mode:
1. Use the [F6] key, if necessary, to enter Simultaneous mode. (Press [F6]. Use
the up-down arrow keys to select “Simultaneous.” Press the right arrow key
to complete the selection.)
2. Select the input level using the up-down arrow keys. (The default level is 60
dB SPL).
3. Use [F5] to change the source type to “Composite” or “Comp DSP.” The
“Tone” selection will not work in Simultaneous Mode, and the Composite
signal will be substituted automatically.
4. Press [START]. The test will run and the results will be displayed in
Difference graph.
