1. Turn on the <strong>8000</strong> system by reaching back on the right side of the main<br />

module (while you are facing the front of the unit), and pressing the POWER<br />

switch. The green LED on the front panel, above the words “POWER”, will<br />

turn on after a couple seconds.<br />

2. Turn on the video monitor. (Refer to the monitor’s manual for instructions, if<br />

necessary.)<br />

The Opening screen of the <strong>8000</strong> test system will be displayed. It contains the<br />

FONIX logo, along with the software version, the serial number, and the available<br />

options. This information is important in identifying your equipment when<br />

you communicate with the company about your FONIX <strong>8000</strong> test system.<br />

Note: Do not disconnect or connect the sound chamber or probe module when<br />

the analyzer is turned on. This will not damage the analyzer but it may have<br />

trouble detecting the chamber without a power cycle.<br />
