cardiomegaly, <strong>and</strong> the caudal cardiac<br />

margin is straightened. The tracheal<br />

bifurcation <strong>and</strong> main stem bronchi<br />

are elevated. There is diffuse alveolar<br />

pattern infiltrate, which is most<br />

severe in the hilar area. Air bronchogram<br />

signs are present in the<br />

caudal lung lobes. The radiographic<br />

findings are indicative of left heart<br />

failure. Diagnosis: Left heart failure<br />

secondary to dilated cardiomyopathy.<br />
