Fig. 4-127 A 7-year-old female Cocker Spaniel was brought in for acute<br />

right forelimb lameness that localized to the elbow. A, Radiographic findings<br />

include an intercondylar to lateral supracondylar fracture of the distal right<br />

humerus. B, The same dog was evaluated for a similar lameness in the left leg<br />

7 months later. Radiographic findings include a separation of the lateral<br />

humeral condyle from the rest of the humerus that led to a distortion of the<br />

articular surface. Fragment displacement is proximal <strong>and</strong> lateral <strong>and</strong> there are<br />

some additional chiplike fragments at the proximal aspect of both fractures.<br />

Diagnosis: Incomplete humeral condyle fusion resulting in intercondylar<br />

fracture(s).<br />
