The open-mouth ventrodorsal view is essential for complete evaluation of the nasal cavity<br />

<strong>and</strong> frontal sinuses, <strong>and</strong> it is obtained by positioning the animal in dorsal recumbency in<br />

the same position required for the st<strong>and</strong>ard ventrodorsal view. The maxilla is taped down<br />

parallel to the radiography table or cassette, <strong>and</strong> the mouth is held open as widely as
