Engineering, Maintenance <strong>and</strong> Construction<br />
Overview<br />
The Engineering, Maintenance <strong>and</strong> Construction Division is responsible for all<br />
engineering <strong>and</strong> maintenance related to the Authority stations, buildings, bridges, track,<br />
communications <strong>and</strong> signal <strong>and</strong> power systems. The Division is also responsible for<br />
capital construction of both transit <strong>and</strong> railroad facilities <strong>and</strong> right-of-way elements.<br />
In addition, the Engineering, Maintenance <strong>and</strong> Construction Division oversees the New<br />
Payment Technologies Department. Within this department, Revenue Operations<br />
ensures that the Authority’s fare instruments are distributed, the fare collection system is<br />
maintained <strong>and</strong> revenue is collected, transported, secured, counted, processed <strong>and</strong><br />
deposited. They are also responsible for control, compliance <strong>and</strong> audit of the collection<br />
process.<br />
New Payment Technologies also manages the capital project to design, select, <strong>and</strong><br />
implement a new state-of-the-art consumer payment program.<br />
