‣ Achieve scheduled preventive maintenance inspection <strong>and</strong> cleaning goals<br />

‣ Meet vehicle overhaul (VOH) production goals for all fleets<br />

‣ Develop new job st<strong>and</strong>ards to improve productivity<br />

‣ Meet all departmental mean distance between failures (MDBF) goals<br />

‣ Continue efforts towards crime prevention system-wide<br />

‣ Complete the scanning program project with IT <strong>and</strong> continue to process all<br />

existing hard copy documents<br />

‣ Ensure the best utilization of manpower resources, paying particular attention<br />

to scheduled <strong>and</strong> unscheduled lost time <strong>and</strong> overtime<br />

‣ Complete cutovers of new signal projects for the Doylestown Line<br />

‣ Finalize the implementation of the Smart Station project with the goal of safer<br />

service <strong>and</strong> more passenger information<br />

‣ Coordinate track outages associated with Federal Economic Stimulus projects<br />

while maintaining service<br />

‣ Participate in the development of Positive Train Control<br />

‣ Finalize the implementation of the new CCT communication system<br />

‣ Participate actively in Transit First program initiatives by establishing a<br />

cooperative partnership with the City, focusing on operational issues which<br />

have an immediate impact on day-to-day issues while redefining the future of<br />

transit in Philadelphia<br />

• Improve Employee Satisfaction <strong>and</strong> Develop a Highly Qualified Staff<br />

‣ Continue efforts working with Human Resources <strong>and</strong> the General Manager’s<br />

Team in the development <strong>and</strong> evaluation of a social skills coaching <strong>and</strong><br />

assessment program<br />

‣ Continue efforts to improve the first level supervisory training <strong>and</strong> customer<br />

service training for operators<br />

‣ Develop subordinates for future needs of the organization through increased<br />

responsibilities, accountability, management training classes, <strong>and</strong> mentoring<br />

‣ Develop succession plans<br />
