2007 OSC Readiness Training Program Evaluation Report The pie chart below illustrates the percentages of students for the training course by job title. EPA OSCs and other regional removal and emergency response support staff represented 59 percent of the students. Sixteen members of the RSC attended this course. Participants by Job Title EPA RPMs, 7% (3) Other Federal Agency Representatives, 22% (10) EPA OSCs, 26% (12) EPA ERT, 4% (2) EPA HQ Representatives, 4% (2) EPA CICs, 4% (2) EPA Removal Managers, 4% (2) Other EPA Regional Removal Staff, 29% (13) Summarized below are the written comments provided on the evaluation forms. Similar observations have been combined and paraphrased. Comments on course relevance to job responsibilities • I have a better knowledge of mission assignments. Comments on course content • Excellent lecture application to Katrina. • Would be useful to emphasize point made on whether or not to agree to mission assignment. Comments on instructional methods and materials • Course was excellent and very useful. • Excellent instructor — great job Steve! (Five responses) • Very well presented, using real life experience from Hurricane Katrina response. • Could be whole-day course! Very good. • Instructor did a wonderful job of linking lecture material to “in field” situations with examples. • Several OSCs from each region should have a more in depth class in the ESF process.
