2007 OSC Readiness Training Program Evaluation Report
• There was a good balance of material.
• Materials are helpful for many positions related to ecological restoration. (Three responses)
• Good information and good examples in a short amount of time.
• This class was informative and enjoyable. Steve Handel was the best part of this class; he
reminded me why I want to do this work. He is a valuable instructor, use him again.
• Dr. Handel — exceptional presentation and delivery.
• Great idea to have the mixing of soil as a demo — good break from presentation.
• Handouts were too dark and photos did not copy well. (Two responses)
Comments on course name and abstract expectations
• Class was much better than advertised.
• The course exceeded my expectations.
• It did not lead me to know that there would be the hands-on demonstration of soils; ‘Beyond
Hydro-seeding’ just sounds boring.
Comments on recommending course to colleagues
• Should be part of all OSC training.
• Everyone should take this course.
• This session was informative and inspiring.
• I would recommend it, but feel this topic is more appropriate for RPMs than OSCs.

• More time for this course would have been good. An advanced, follow-up course would be
useful with protocols, or a technical course.
