2007 OSC Readiness Training Program Evaluation Report
• Be careful about suggesting that the regions are in violation of the law or NCP.
• The permit issue needs to be flushed out more.
• Case study examples could have been used to answer the question and answer session questions.
• Answers at the end should not have been provided immediately in order to initiate discussion.
• Add a section that clarifies what authorities an OSC responds under, the NCP or Stafford Act, and
if the authority makes a difference. This topic has created many questions and has not been
resolved.
Comments on instructional methods and materials
• All instructors were fantastic! (Nine responses)
• Paul is a fantastic instructor who speaks clearly and is enthusiastic and engaging. (Five
responses)
• I enjoyed the tactfulness of the instructors when presenting the information.
• Handouts and question and answer/frequently asked questions are a great way of presenting the

• Good to put law log, etc. in one place.
• Excellent to have updated copies of laws and regulations.
• Paul drove home the point to read the regulations.
• Sections should be divided with more breaks to help students absorb the information. (Three

• A CD to listen to discussing the course lecture would be beneficial. (Two responses)
• Binder is missing State Requirements - Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation,
and Liability Act (CERCLA) 128b and a few other documents. (Two responses)
