2007 OSC Readiness Training Program Evaluation Report
• Include more case studies.
• Too much repetition for some material.

to responders, such as what do I need for a response? What should I do to prepare? (Two

Comments on recommending course to colleagues
• Would recommend course to a person with a life sciences background. I would be hesitant to
recommend it to a colleague with an engineering background.
• Good course if student wants to hear experts speak rather than have interaction.
• No, because it is too specific for my fellow co-workers.
Attendee’s suggestions for future course offerings
• Review the four biology related courses presented at this Readiness Training and create new
courses or combine the courses into one course. (Two responses)
• Next course should be “Response Plans for Infectious Diseases” so OSCs know what to do in the
event of a suspected or confirmed infectious disease attack. (Two responses)
• Topics to shorten:
- Information on plant pathogens
- Presentation on smallpox
- Information about the historical and emerging bioweapons threats
- The information on different regulations; the response section for each course. The response
section includes information on disease recognition and planning activities to prepare for a
response.
