2007 Getting the Job Done: A Workshop on Acquisition and Emergency
Response Contract Management

This 3.5-hour intermediate-level course focused on procurement issues relevant to OSCs and others
working in the emergency response community. By attending this course, attendees developed an
understanding of the importance of contract management in emergency responses and removals. Topics
covered were from the OSC Tool Box, and the instructors incorporated examples and scenarios to
illustrate the uses of these topics.
In addition, the new clauses implemented in the ERRS III follow-on contracts and Form 1900-55 were
reviewed. Discussion of new tools and resources used in EPA’s regional offices also occurred.
Warranted OSCs received 3.5 hours of training toward the continuing contracting education requirements
of the Clinger-Cohen Act (Maloney Bill requirement).
This course was recommended for new OSCs.
