Chapter 7: <strong>Land</strong> <strong>Use</strong> <strong>Code</strong><br />

plat; except, it may be on a scale <strong>of</strong> not more than one inch (1") to one hundred feet (100').<br />

(3) Subdivisions outside <strong>Town</strong>. If the information shown on a preliminary subdivision<br />

plat is <strong>of</strong> land located outside the corporate limits <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Norwood</strong> and within<br />

<strong>Norwood</strong>'s Urban Growth Boundary, the procedure for approval, modification or<br />

disapproval, shall be the same as required for preliminary plats within the <strong>Town</strong>.<br />

(d)<br />

Application review procedures.<br />

(1) Date <strong>of</strong> filing. Ten (10) copies <strong>of</strong> the preliminary plat as described in subsection (b)<br />

above shall be submitted to the <strong>Town</strong> Planner thirty (30) days prior to the Planning and<br />

Zoning Commission meeting at which consideration is desired. The preliminary plat shall<br />

be considered <strong>of</strong>ficially filed after application review fees which are established by<br />

resolution <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees have been paid and after it is examined and found to be<br />

in compliance with the general provisions <strong>of</strong> these regulations by the <strong>Town</strong> Planner.<br />

(2) Distribution <strong>of</strong> preliminary plats. The following notice shall be stamped on the face<br />

<strong>of</strong> each preliminary plat: “Preliminary Plat - for inspection purposes only, and in no way<br />

<strong>of</strong>ficial or approved for record purposes.” The <strong>Town</strong> Planner shall distribute the<br />

preliminary plats immediately upon receipt to the following:<br />

a. <strong>Town</strong> Planner/Consultant (one copy)<br />

b. <strong>Town</strong> Engineer/Consultant (one copy)<br />

c. <strong>Town</strong> Public Works Director (one copy)<br />

d. <strong>San</strong> <strong>Miguel</strong> Power Association or other electricity provider (one copy)<br />

e. SourceGas or other natural gas provider (one copy)<br />

f. Centurylink or other telephone provider (one copy)<br />

g. R-2 School District (one copy)<br />

h. <strong>Norwood</strong> Water Commission (one copy)<br />

i. <strong>Norwood</strong> <strong>San</strong>itation District (one copy)<br />

j. <strong>Norwood</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Clerk (one copy - for the public record)<br />

(3) Distribution to <strong>County</strong>. Whenever a preliminary subdivision plat, involving land in<br />

the <strong>Town</strong>’s Urban Growth Boundary outside the corporate limits, is submitted to the<br />

Planning and Zoning Commission for approval, two (2) additional plat copies shall be<br />

provided and forwarded for comment and recommendation to the <strong>County</strong> Commissioners.<br />
