Chapter 7: <strong>Land</strong> <strong>Use</strong> <strong>Code</strong><br />

§ 4.08 <strong>San</strong>itation<br />
<strong>San</strong>itary sewer service and facilities shall be provided by and meet all requirements <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Norwood</strong><br />
<strong>San</strong>itation District.<br />
§ 4.09 Underground Utilities<br />
All utilities shall be placed underground, except transformers, switching boxes, terminal boxes,<br />

§ 4.11 Prominent Site Features<br />
Prominent site features, such as landmarks, historic character and structures on the site, and<br />
significant topographic features shall be identified and taken into consideration in site planning<br />
and development. The <strong>Town</strong> may require such features to be preserved or otherwise protected.<br />
§ 5.00 SITE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS<br />
§ 5.01 Scope and Applicability<br />
No building permit or certificate <strong>of</strong> occupancy shall be issued for any development until all <strong>of</strong> the<br />
applicable standards <strong>of</strong> this Sec. 5.00, Site development standards, are met.<br />
§ 5.02 Parking, loading and access<br />
(a) Purpose. The purpose <strong>of</strong> this section is to require <strong>of</strong>f-street parking and loading facilities in<br />
proportion to the parking demand for each use in order to ensure functionally adequate,<br />
aesthetically pleasing and secure <strong>of</strong>f-street parking. The regulations and design standards <strong>of</strong> this<br />
section are intended to accomplish the following.<br />
(1) To ensure the usefulness <strong>of</strong> parking facilities.<br />
(2) To ensure sufficient parking spaces on-site in order to prevent excessive parking on<br />
public streets and in residential neighborhoods.<br />
(3) To ensure that access to parking does not impair the function <strong>of</strong> adjacent roadways<br />
or endanger the public safety.<br />
