Then a fishing-line was placed between the two birch trees – in the shape of a four-petal lotus (a
five tathaghat Mandala) – 5 A4 sheets were suspended from this line. Each of these sheets
contained scientific comments on the ―Diamond Sutra‖ taken from the same book -
―Psychological aspects of Buddhism‖ (pages 64-68).
Following this the factography (performance document) was handed to the viewers. These
documents consisted of colour laminated photos on a fragment of a shop floor from an antique
store in Tallinn (this also showed a yellow tilting doll in the centre of the image, with a framed
painting entitled ―Horse head‖ on the left, and a counting frame (abacus) on the right).
The installation with the orange tilting doll, the bundle of brushwood and the five laminated
sheets were left at the scene of the action.

После жеребьевки на 13-ти китайских почтовых открытках было определено, какую из 13-
ти закопанных во время акции «Библиотека» (1997) книг следует вырыть. Это оказалась
книга «Китайские документы из Дуньхуана» издания 1983 года.
Затем на место на полянке, где были зарыты часы (извлеченные из земли во время акции
«Мешок», 2001), в землю был вбит железный стержень с набалдашником в виде черепахи
и с помощью GPS и карманного компьютера были определены координаты этого места:
N 56 ‗ 02, 3989. E 037 ‗ 27, 2178.

In this action, a drawing taken from a set of 13 Chinese postcards defined which book from 13
possible titles, which had been buried during ―The Library‖ performance (1997), was to be
unearthed. The book selected was ―Chinese documents from Dunkhuan‖ published in 1983.
Then, in the same spot on the field where the clocks were buried (and which had been extracted
from the earth during ―The sack‖ performance, 2001) an iron rod with a knob in the form of a
turtle was hammered into the ground. With the aid of a GPS and pocket PC coordinates, the spot
was noted as: N 56 ‗02, 3989. E 037 ‗ 27, 2178.
