used is too light, the truss depth will be large and the user is prompted to try a heavier<br />

system. Filtering <strong>of</strong> the truss configuration input with respect to the other inputs could restrict<br />

the “system type” selections to those most likely to work.<br />

Mast Truss: The mast truss is a lesser used system type and is left to be completed as<br />

future work.<br />

Cable Truss: The cable truss is an interesting and effective structure type. A derivation <strong>of</strong><br />

the DR program as described above is included in the StructureDesigner module but is not<br />

complete.<br />
