This question was answered incorrectly 18% and 30% <strong>of</strong> the time on the 1 st and 2 nd test<br />

respectively by Group A, and 17% and 43% <strong>of</strong> the time on the 1 st and 2 nd test respectively by<br />

Group B.<br />

Group A: The two incorrect responders to this question in the 1 st test stuck by their answers<br />

in the 2 nd test. In addition, one <strong>of</strong> the “don’t know” responders selected an incorrect response<br />

in the 2 nd test. However, three <strong>of</strong> the I-don’t-know responders selected the correct response<br />

in the 2 nd test.<br />

There was a 24% drop overall in this category for the I-don’t-know response from the 1 st test<br />

to the 2 nd . This seems to indicate the people thought they knew more about the responses<br />

during the second test. What the increase in incorrect responses indicates is that what they<br />

learned was not clear enough for them to select the best answer.<br />

The program was seemingly effective in providing information that the users did not know. It<br />

was not effective in teaching them things that the thought they new but were wrong about.<br />

9.1.4.5 Subjective Responses<br />

Subjective responses are analyzed separately for Groups A and B following.<br />

Group A<br />

Group A was presented with five subjective questions at the end <strong>of</strong> their 1 st test. Note that<br />

Group A answered these questions before presentation <strong>of</strong> the learning program. They were<br />
