pointer indicates 0° heading deviation at the top of the course indicator. The
heading deviation scales, at the top and bottom of the course indicator, are scaled
in 5° increments up to 45°. The TO-FROM indicator indicates whether the course
selected, if properly intercepted and flown, will take the aircraft to or from the
station (Figure 5.3). When the aircraft passes a line from the station
perpendicular to the selected course, the TO-FROM indicator changes. Aircraft
heading has no effect on the TO-FROM indications.
