5.3.4.2.1. Wind drift. Some computers supply wind drift compensation.<br />

5.3.4.2.2. Bank angle. Maximum bank angle commanded is usually 25° to 35°,<br />

depending on the system.<br />

5.3.4.2.3. Intercept angle. Maximum intercept angle commanded is normally<br />

about 45°.<br />

5.3.4.2.4. ILS Final Approach Mode (Figure 5.11). This mode is designed to<br />

place and maintain the aircraft on the localizer course and glide slope. This is<br />

accomplished by positioning the pitch and bank steering bars to command the<br />

pilot to fly flight director computed headings and pitch attitudes.<br />

5.3.4.2.5. Drift. Wind drift compensation is provided to maintain the aircraft on<br />

the final approach course.<br />

5.3.4.2.6. Bank Angle. Bank angle commanded is a maximum of 15°.<br />

5.3.4.2.7. Pitch. Maximum pitch attitude commanded is 10° to 17°, depending<br />

on the system.
