Humanitarian Law CenterMazniku, and court psychologist Dušanka Garić attend the main hearingsession.It is noted that injured parties Saranda Bogujevci, Fatos Bogujevci, JehonaBogujevci, Lirrie Bogujevci, Saget Bogujevci 12 , and Selatin Bogujevci cameto attend the main hearing session. However, because of the special securitymeasures, they are placed in a special courtroom.The injured parties’ representative Nataša Kandić suggested that the juvenilewitnesses/injured parties, as well as Saranda Bogujevci who is a youngerjuvenile person, should be examined in the private session.The court psychologist, Dušanka Garić, stated that based on her conversationwith the injured parties/juvenile witnesses - it could not be concludedthat they were suffering trauma regarding their court appearance. However,because of their age it would be, for sure, more acceptable to have thepublic excluded during the main hearing.The deputy district public prosecutor stated that she would leave this suggestionto the injured parties’ representatives and adds that such a stanceis based on the legal provision from Article 292 of the Criminal ProcedureCode.The injured parties’ representative, attorney Teki Bokshi, agreed with theprevious representative regarding the exclusion of public and added thatthe best thing would be to ask for opinion the psychologist, who came togetherwith the children.Defence counsellor ore Kalanj stated that he objected to the suggestionfor the exclusion of public saying that it is in the defence’s interest that thepublic hears today’s examination of the witnesses/injured parties. He addedthat a court psychologist is present and in any moment she can providehelp during the examination of the witnesses. He also suggests that eachjuvenile person be asked whether or not he or she would like to give evidencein the private session.12 Safet Bogujevci124
