I did nothave a feeling that somebody told him something. I did not hear that. Icannot say what made him let me go the second time he caught me. Maybehe decided on his own and maybe he listened to the person, who toldhim to let me go. I think that this person, who told him to let me go, woreblack uniform and black glasses, but I am really not sure about this detail.In these moments I did not hear any shooting nearby.”After the defence counsellor insisted, the witness rephrased a part of hisstatement:“Among others, the defendant asked me, ‘Why do you speak Serbian sowell?’”Then the defendant said:“It is true that I am the person Rexhep Kastrati has recognised. It is true thatI was the first one who entered this yard and the witness was there with hissister. This woman held jewellery or money in her hand and I did not takeit. I asked, just as the witness said, ‘What are you paying with this?’ I do notknow if some of the other unit members took it. It is true that I asked the witnesswhy he was speaking Serbian so well and he said, ‘Because of the job’.I carried my rifle in the hands because I was going to the unknown area andI did not know what to expect. It is possible that I pointed my rifle at the witnessas he explained it today here. It is true that I asked the witness what wasbehind the door on the left side from the staircase.
