Humanitarian Law CenterWe spent some time there waiting for instructions and during our conversationwe heard, if I remember correctly, two gunfire bursts. I ran out immediatelyto see what was happening. At certain distance, maybe some300 or 400 metres away, I saw SAJ members, among which Vulević Spasojeaka “Vuk”. I saw that something happened there and when I arrivedthere, somebody from that group, I cannot recall who it was, informed methat the Scorpions reserve unit members, who arrived just before this happened,opened gunfire.As far as I can remember, two Scorpions members were the ones who didthis, but I cannot claim with certainty that these two persons are the defendants,but I stick to my earlier statement that the Scorpions memberswere the ones who were shooting.I can say that, when I arrived at the scene, I was informed that the Scorpionsreserve unit members had opened fire in this house, civilians wereshot at, and there were wounded and dead. I called Doctor Dragan immediatelyand engaged the Yugoslav Army Medic unit to provide first aid forthe wounded civilians and take them to the Priština Hospital for hospitaltreatment.When I organised the first aid, I returned to the headquarters to reportwhat happened. I did that and then I informed Boca to gather his men andreturn to Prolom Banja.Upon return to Prolom Banja, I continued travelling to Belgrade in order toattend the funeral of soldier Aleksić Radovan, while local Podujevo Departmentof Interior police officers stayed to carry out further operations.As for the number of victims, I can say there were several victims, but I donot know the exact number and I cannot guess. I only know that there weretwo children because I was helping the others to get them to the ambulance,but I do not know the age or the gender of others.I heard the written record of my statement loud and clear and it containseverything I said.
