I have a child of the same age at home’. Then he toldme, ‘Take the child and run’. He said that again because the other one toldme to let go of the child. I took the child in my arms again and ran downthe stairs. While I was going down the stairs I ran into a local police officerToma Petrović whom I knew.I told him, ‘Look I have a child’ and he just pointed to the direction I wassupposed to go. Then I heard a burst of automatic gunfire approximatelycoming from the direction of the road. It was only one burst. When I wentout on the street I saw my cousins walking in line and I saw that none ofthem was wounded. There were a lot of police officers who wore differenttypes of uniform. Some of them wore blue, some green, and some blackuniform. They were all telling us to go up the road. While we were walkingin line I did not hear any more shooting.I know Safet and Selatin Bogujevci. Their house is located some 30 metresaway from my uncle Isak’s house on this same street. When I left I didnot see their family because they were still inside their houses since thesepeople did not get to their houses yet. When I was walking up the streetI only saw that Selman Gashi’s family started coming out. I did not darelook around a lot because there were a lot of police. I do not know exactlywho of these police troops entered other houses. Later on, when we werealready out of Podujevo, we heard that something happened in the Bogujevcifamily’s yard, but I did not see anything. While I was in Podujevo Idid not see if anything happened to Selman and Idriz Gashi and later on Iheard that something happened to them.As an answer to the question if I remember seeing the defendant at thescene I must say that it has been five years since the event happened andI cannot say with certainty if I saw the defendant there or not. Maybe Iwould recognise the people who came to me, the bald one and the onewith the bandana. I cannot say if defendant Cvjetan could have been oneof them because I am really not sure of that.Since photographs were shown to me I can say that in the photograph oneI see the house in which Enver Duriqi’s family was staying.
