A strip of webbing orleather is sewn around each edge ofthesling. This is necessary for certain applicationswhere the sling edges are subjectto damage.SLEEVE. Sometimes called sleeve or sliding-tube typewear pads, these pads are ideal for h<strong>and</strong>ling material withsharp edges because the sleeve does not move when thesling stretches <strong>and</strong> adjusts to the load.
