C. Floor Burnishing Plan:<br />
1. Prior to commencement of work, furnish floor burnishing plan to identify sequential progression of work,<br />
including:<br />
a. Size of individual nightly work areas<br />
b. Electrical supply locations, including exterior access if generators are utilized<br />
c. Unique work requirement locations (i.e. joint repairs, floor patching, etc.)<br />
d. Anticipated start and finish date of work<br />
D. Plan shall be reviewed and accepted by Wal-Mart Construction Manager and Wal-Mart Field Project Manager<br />
prior to start of slab enhancement work.<br />
E. Test Results:<br />
1. Submit finished floor gloss test results and slip resistance produced by the CTL to the Wal-Mart Construction<br />
Manager and Wal-Mart’s Concrete Consultant.<br />
F. Closeout:<br />
1. Verification of gallons used of densifier and stain guard for application.<br />
1.4 PRODUCT DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING<br />
A. Dispense surface densifier and stain guard material from factory numbered and sealed packages. Maintain record<br />
of numbered packages.<br />
1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE<br />
A. Test area:<br />
1. Clean, prepare, apply densifier and stain guard to a 200 square foot sample area located as directed by the<br />
Wal-Mart Construction Manager. Burnish to specified gloss values.<br />
2. Joint edge and vertical abutment conditions should be included in sample area.<br />
3. Completed test installation must be approved by Wal-Mart Construction Manager prior to continuation of<br />
main slab work.<br />
4. Approved sample area will become part of the completed work.<br />
B. Environmental Requirements:<br />
1. Limit and control all noise, dust and moisture created by concrete surface enhancement work to meet all local,<br />
state, and Federal ordinances, codes and laws.<br />
2. Comply with lithium stain guard manufacturer’s written instructions for substrate temperature and moisture<br />
content, ambient temperature and humidity, ventilation and other conditions affecting chemical performance.<br />
3. Application of lithium stain guard shall be coordinated with Wal-Mart Construction Manager and Wal-<br />
Mart Field Project Manager to ensure no foot traffic prior to drying.<br />
C. <strong>Walmart</strong> Concrete Consultant:<br />
1. Structural Services, Inc. (SSI), (214) 522-6438.<br />
D. Mock Up: Prior to commencement of main slab work, prepare mock up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques,<br />
ability of slab to accept specified products and procedures, and application workmanship.<br />
1. Designate 200 square feet for mock up of system specified, using same materials, tools, equipment, and<br />
procedures intended for actual surface preparation in Sales floor at location determined by the Wal-Mart<br />
Construction Manager. Include properly prepared slab joints, surface spalls and crack repairs if available.<br />
Include slab edges adjoining existing partitions/walls.<br />
2. <strong>No</strong>tify <strong>Walmart</strong> Construction Manager minimum 14 days prior to date and time when mockups will be performed<br />
and completed.<br />
