3. Notify Walmart Concrete Consultant minimum 14 days prior to date and time when mockup will be performed and completed. 4. Choose mockup location that demonstrates proposed range of aesthetic effects and workmanship. 5. Obtain Wal-Mart Construction Manager’s approval of mockups before proceeding with work. 6. Maintain mockups during construction in undisturbed condition as a standard for judging completed work. 7. Approved mockups installed in sales areas may become part of the completed work if acceptable to Wal- Mart Construction Manager. E. Mandatory Pre-Installation Meeting: 1. Plan, host, and attend a pre-installation meeting to be conducted at site by Wal-Mart Consultant via teleconference. 2. Schedule pre-installation meeting with Walmart Concrete Consultant a minimum of14 days prior to first night of burnishing and after all submittals required herein have been submitted and approved by Walmart Concrete Consultant or Architect of Record. 3. Obtain pre-installation meeting agenda template from Walmart Concrete Consultant. 4. Require responsible representatives of each party involved with the surface enhancement work to attend the pre-installation meeting. Representatives to be present shall include personnel who are directly involved in overseeing the work and who have authority to control the polishing work. 5. Notify all required attendees in writing of scheduled time and place a minimum of 14 days in advance of pre-installation meeting. Include copy of agenda with invitation. 6. The pre-installation meeting shall convene only when all parties are present. 7. Minutes of the pre-installation meeting shall be recorded, typed, printed, and distributed to all parties concerned by the General Contractor within 5 days of the meeting. One copy of the minutes shall also be transmitted to the Owner's representative for information purposes. 8. Attendees shall include, but not be limited to the following: a. Wal-Mart Construction Manager b. Wal-Mart Field Project Manager c. Walmart Store/Club Manager d. Wal-Mart Consultant e. General Contractor f. Project manager g. Superintendents h. Densifier manufacturer’s representative i. Densifier applicator and burnished floor surface installer. j. Joint Filler Applicator, if applicable k. Joint Filler Manufacturer, if applicable 9. Changes to the contract documents from recommendations or discussions at the Pre-Installation meeting shall be approved in writing by the Wal-Mart Construction Manager prior to implementation. Minimum performance requirements: 1. 27 inch head, high speed propane burnisher. 2. 585 cc engine speed, generating 1,500 RPM or higher (as verified with tachometer). 3. 22 pound head weight (40 pound maximum). 4. Dust skirt assembly. C. The weight and speed of the burnisher shall generate adequate heat and friction at the concrete floor surface to transform the lithium stain guard application to the specified gloss level. 2.4 HIGH SPEED BURNISHING PADS A.
