The Science curriculum is designed to prepare students for transfer into science programs,<br />

science education program and pre-professional curricula to other institutions for completion<br />

of their professional education. A minimum grade of “C” must be earned in all required<br />

NOTE: Students who anticipate majoring in Biology should take General Chemistry in<br />

first year concurrent with General Biology. General Physics should then be taken<br />

in second year.<br />

CURRICULUM GUIDELINES:<br />

1. The student’s level of achievement in secondary school mathematics courses will dictate<br />

the particular mathematics course he/she shall start with and the sequential pattern he/<br />

she shall follow.<br />

2. Each student receives personal counseling before every semester to assist him/her in<br />

making a smooth and proper transfer to the four-year institution, many of which have<br />

varying transfer and admissions requirements into the junior year of college. Therefore,<br />

elective patterns may vary with each student. The student is urged to familiarize himself/herself<br />

with the requirements of the particular program of the four-year institution<br />

he/she plans to attend upon completing the College program.<br />
