COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS<br />

Program of Studies Leading to the A.S. Degree<br />

The Computer Information Systems (CIS) curriculum provides students with the opportunity<br />

to complete many of the core courses normally required for the four-year professional<br />

degree. It is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year degree program in Computer<br />

Information Systems Technology. It is primarily concerned with the foundation of the<br />

system development life cycle to business-oriented and computer-based information systems.<br />

The topics involve the study of systems analysis, systems design, database management, and<br />

computer programming, along with other technical and business study areas pertinent to the<br />

development and implementation of information systems in a variety of operational and administrative<br />

settings. The courses, as recommended below, must be followed.<br />
