REGISTRATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES<br />

1. All college staff and students who operate a motor vehicle on campus are<br />

required to register their vehicle(s) with the campus security, located in Building<br />

1, Room 101, telephone 740-0304 or extension 304 from campus telephones.<br />

2. Any change in the status of the registered vehicle must be reported to the<br />

campus security within 24 hours.<br />

3. At the time of vehicle registration, the registrant must present the motor<br />

vehicle registration card. Proper registration of motor vehicle will assist the<br />

security office in notifying the vehicle owner-operator of potentially<br />

dangerous or costly situations with their vehicle such as lights being left on,<br />

leaking gas tank, flat tires, and so forth.<br />

4. All student vehicles parked on campus must display a valid LCCC parking<br />

permit in the rear window of the vehicle. The permit sticker is issued at the<br />

time of vehicle registration. All LCCC staff vehicles parked in staff lots on<br />

campus must display a parking permit placard.<br />

<strong>COLLEGE</strong> ENTRANCE GATE SCHEDULE<br />

Monday through Friday, the campus gates will be opened at 6 a.m. They will be<br />

closed at 11 p.m. On Saturday, Sunday, and holidays the gates will open at<br />

7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m.<br />

If the college is closed due to inclement weather, the gates will be closed to allow<br />

for snow or ice removal.<br />

VIOLATIONS AND FINES<br />

All fines must be paid before an appeal can be filed, and all appeals must be<br />

filed within 14 days of the date of the violation issue. All parking violations accrued<br />

by any driver operating a motor vehicle will be charged to the registrant of<br />

the vehicle. Upon receipt of the fourth violation, a student will be referred to the<br />

Dean of Student Affairs and may face disciplinary action along with driving and<br />

parking privileges on campus being revoked.<br />

Fines will be assessed for the following violations:<br />

1. Operating a vehicle in a reckless fashion (i.e., speeding, improper<br />

operation, failure to stop at stop signs, driving on the wrong side<br />

of the road, failure to obey one-way signs, and similar violations<br />

of the PA Motor Vehicle Code ...................................................................... $10<br />
