FINES<br />

All of the previously stated fines which are not paid within 14 days from the<br />

date of issue will automatically double. Fines must be paid at the business office<br />

located in Building 5 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through<br />

Friday. Failure to pay fines will result in the holding of grades, transcripts, graduation<br />

privileges, and registration for classes.<br />

APPEALS<br />

All fines must be paid before an appeal can be filed and all appeals must be filed<br />

in writing within 14 days of the date of the violation issue. Fines may be appealed<br />

in writing to the Director of Security. If a fine is not paid or an appeal filed within 14<br />

days it automatically doubles, and the registrant is liable for all fines and costs.<br />

Appeal forms are available from the Security Department, located in Building 1,<br />

or from the Finance Office and Switchboard, both located in Building 5.<br />

HANDICAPPED PARKING<br />

The College provides a limited number of parking spaces for handicapped students.<br />

In the event a handicapped parking space is necessary, the student should<br />

obtain a request form from the Director of Campus Security whose office is located<br />

in Building 1.<br />

Every effort will be made to accommodate the student’s needs.<br />

DENTAL HEALTH CLINIC<br />

The Dental Health Clinic is located in Building 9. The clinic provides low-cost<br />

preventive dental health services to the public and special community groups. LCCC<br />

students, faculty and staff receive services free of charge.<br />

Services are provided by students who have demonstrated competency in clinical<br />

skills prior to providing patient care. All services are supervised and evaluated<br />

by licensed dental health professionals. Services are provided by appointment only<br />

and may be scheduled by calling 740-0446.<br />

INTERNET USAGE POLICY<br />

The following set of policies have been established to define proper and improper<br />

use of <strong>Luzerne</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College’s Internet services which include<br />

the College’s Intranet. These policies apply to everyone using the Internet<br />

service (viewing web pages, using Internet e-mail, etc.), or maintaining web pages,<br />

through the college’s hardware.<br />

In addition to the guidelines presented below, all other published college policies<br />

apply to Internet access at <strong>Luzerne</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College.<br />

Use of the Internet is a privilege which can be revoked at any time. Any willful<br />

violation of this policy may result in suspension of access to the Internet and can<br />

result in disciplinary action.<br />

General Guidelines:<br />

1. Internet services may not be used for commercial purposes. Selling or<br />

advertising services/merchandise not related to <strong>Luzerne</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Community</strong><br />

College is not permitted.<br />

2. The College’s Internet services may not be used to gain, or attempt to gain,<br />

unauthorized access to remote computers.<br />
