Theory related instruction in the function and operation of automotive heating<br />
and air conditioning systems with emphasis placed on diagnosis, service and repair<br />

Theory related instruction to provide students with the principles and basic concepts<br />

An introductory course to present the basic operating principles of the diesel<br />
engine. Emphasis will be placed on fuel delivery systems and logical trouble-shooting<br />

A theoretical study of specialized diesel components with emphasis on injection<br />
pumps, governors and fuel injector systems, dynamic timing, injector nozzle cleaning,<br />
trouble-shooting, service and repair.<br />

Computer Command Control Systems 2 Lect., 2 Lab., 3 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
A theoretical study of basic carburetion and computer command control systems<br />
with emphasis on the operation and service of fuel management sensors, air<br />
management systems, circuit study, and a brief review of basic electrical HEI, EST<br />
and Hall Effect Ignition Systems and logical trouble-shooting and maintenance<br />
procedures.<br />

This introductory course will cover the principles of automotive electronics<br />
and automotive electrical systems. It will provide the student with theoretical<br />
and practical experiences necessary to fully understand the tools, equipment and<br />

This course will cover basic principles and operation of fuel injection systems<br />
used by Ford, such as central fuel injection, port fuel injection, and sequential fuel<br />
injection. Emphasis will be on operation, troubleshooting, service, and repair of<br />
these systems.<br />
AUT 119-Chrysler Electronic Fuel Injection 2 Lect., 2 Lab., 3 Sem.-Hrs.<br />
This course will cover basic principles and operation of Chrysler fuel injection<br />
systems to include throttle body and port fuel injection. Emphasis will be on operation,<br />
troubleshooting, service, and repair of these systems.<br />
